Beaches - Tangier - Morocco

BEACHES - TANGIER

There are many great and fantastic beaches in Tangier. However there is one beach that will probably stick in the minds of many people and that is the main beach in Tangier.

The beach is situated next to the very famous harbour and is strectched for miles along the coast line. On a clear day you are able to stand in the edge of the beach and look out to sea where you will be able to see Gibraltar.

Along the beach there are many beach bars where you can eat and have a drink any time of the day. Also you can experience wonderful camel rides that are avalable any time of the day. This beach is somewhere that you can enjoy hours of fun whether you are on your own or with your family.

Robinson Beach is about 14 km from Tangier. Rent a grand taxi or drive to Cap Spartel, the north-western extremity of Africas Atlantic coast, marked by a lighthouse.

The beach is a beautiful, clean expanse of sand and surf. Excluding the summer months, it is relatively empty. Watch for the tourist trap, the Grottes dHercule, it is a hole in the rock that looks onto the ocean.
